We would like to invite you to get involved with what we are doing to support those who, through no fault of their own, have had to flee their country, leaving family; friends, homes and jobs. Infact, they have had to leave everything that defines who they are and often at a moments notice. Most refugees arrive in our country with nothing other than what they are clothed in and are often suffering shock and fear from the terror of their escape and the journey to find refuge.
Although we can offer them a safe place to live, theirs is still a very lonely place to be, living in a strange land with different customs and often being unable to communicate in a language which is disparate from their own. At Refugees Welcome we aim to bring stability and hope to the refugee families we support through the work of our team of trained volunteers. Working closely alongside our refugee families our dedicated volunteers offer training in language and communication skills; work based skills; mobility; health care, education and so much more to help redevelop their sense of identity. However, above all these essential life skills the one and most important gift that we aim to give is friendship. Our team of befrienders are there to take each family under their wing and make them feel welcome and give them a sound understanding of belonging.

Thank you.
On behalf of the trustees.
Donation Disclaimer
Refugees Welcome ensures that all moneys raised for and in conjunction with a specified campaign is reserved for the sole use of that campaign or purpose.
